ABOUT ME
Hey there! I’m currently earning my master’s degree in Strategic Communication with a sports focus at the University of Texas at Austin. As a proud Longhorn, I’m deeply passionate about Texas Athletics and all things burnt orange. That passion has fueled my drive to build a career in sports media, specifically in roles like sports information director or producer in the world of sports broadcasting.
I’ve gained hands-on experience in athletics communications and live sports production, which has only solidified my love for working in fast-paced, team-oriented environments. Whether I’m helping tell the story of a game or coordinating behind the scenes, I bring a strong work ethic, adaptability, and a goal-driven mindset to everything I do.
When I’m not working or cheering on the Horns, you’ll find me outside with my dog, reading, or diving into my favorite music (country and R&B/Pop are on constant rotation). I’m always looking for new challenges and meaningful ways to grow—both professionally and personally.

I'm currently pursuing my master’s degree at UT to gain deeper experience and build meaningful connections in the field of sports communication. This program is helping me expand my communication skills while allowing me to apply what I learned during my undergraduate studies in a more practical, impactful way. My goal is to not only understand the dynamics of the sports environment but also to effectively communicate those insights, whether that's through media, storytelling, or collaboration within a team setting.

Bachelors of Arts in Sociology w/ Minor of Law Justice & Society
University of Texas at Austin
I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Law, Justice, and Society from the University of Tennessee. I actually stumbled upon sociology by chance, but it quickly became a passion of mine—it opened my eyes to new perspectives on how society functions and how individuals exist within broader social systems. Through my coursework, I developed strong critical thinking skills and a deeper understanding of inequality and marginalization, which continues to shape how I view the world. My undergraduate studies also sparked a desire to protect and advocate for underrepresented communities, especially within the sports world, where these issues are often overlooked. That passion is a major reason why I'm now pursuing a master’s in sports communication.

University of Tennessee at Knoxville
During my time at the University of Tennessee, I pursued a degree in Political Science with a minor in Sociology, which sparked my interest in understanding how systems shape communities. Studying abroad was a highlight of my college experience—it expanded my global perspective, introduced me to a new culture, and challenged me to learn a new language, all of which strengthened my adaptability and communication skills. I also worked at the university’s Center for Career and Academic Exploration, where I helped fellow students navigate their academic and professional paths, and interned with a local political campaign, gaining valuable experience in community engagement and public communication. These experiences collectively deepened my interest in connecting with others and advocating for positive change.

As a creative and driven communicator, I thrive on bringing stories to life—especially within the dynamic world of sports. My background across different industries, paired with academic experiences in sociology, political science, and now sports communication, has sharpened my skills in content creation, marketing, and project management. I've learned to adapt quickly, communicate effectively, and think critically—whether it's through campaign work, student support roles, or media storytelling. I'm passionate about using these strengths to highlight diverse voices in sports and build deeper connections between teams, athletes, and their audiences.
